I am a Student studying Photography, all the photographs on here are taken by me, apart from the images that i have reblogged.
Looking back over this Brief I believe I have responded well to the brief and have created three successful Portraits one for Hero, Villain and How i want the world to see me.
I took all the photographs with either a flash gun or natural light since the set of photographs were taken out of the studio and i found it very interesting on getting the correct light exposure especial for the Villain portrait since i did not have a black backdrop.
Also for this project I enjoyed the setting up of my images and making sure my pose in the photographs were correct to the original photograph, the images themselves work well as a group and also they work well on there own.
My Hero i chose was the classic Matilda poster, i chose this as my hero because i loved this film when I was a kid and i just believe this poster is very iconic and cheerful through the choice of colours.
For my Villain Portrait I chose to do the Wicked Witch of the West from the Wizard of Oz, but the portrait i chose to do was the one from wicked which show Elphaba (the wicked Witch) as she was when she was younger.
My Portrait on how I want the world to see me is just simple and shows myself relaxing while drinking a cup of tea which i enjoy doing second to photography along with reading.
I really enjoyed working on this brief and found it very interesting to recreate the two images and making an image n how i want to be seen.
I decided to order my portrait photographs at print space which is a photographic printing lab down in London, the paper i chose to get them printed on was the Fuji Matt
. The reason i wanted to go with the Matt paper was because i like the effect and finish the image has when it is printed on Matt. When my prints arrived in the post i was very pleased with my final prints..
After a while of deciding on which portraits i should use for my final outcome of my hero, villain and how i want the world to see myself. These are the images i decided to use three image because i believe they each relate to the brief

These photo two photographs are two ideas i had for my final portrait how i want the world to see me, and how i want the world to see me is just relaxing doing the thing i love second to photography and that is reading books and drinking a nice cup of tea

This is a self portrait of photographer Weegee, what i like about the idea behind this portrait is having your camera in the photo for in some ways as a photographer the camera is a part of you and your identity.
I found this portrait on thegroundbeneathherfeet blog and what caught my attention was the lighting and even though i am wanting to go for a natural look i still like the soft shadow which has been created by the lighting
